Hello, bloggers! this is a recount of the last time I went to Margaret Mahy playground, hope you enjoy!
Yesterday, my hub, Tumu Hub, went to Margaret Mahy playground to do these things: first we went on the waka, then we went to visit Victoria square, then we went to play on the playground itself and learn about the story behind the playground, and then we went to feed the eels.
My favourite part of the trip was the activity with Mrs Carney, because I only ever WALKED on those paths inside the playground- I never knew there were STORIES hidden inside them.
Something I learnt was the commands you have to do on the waka. The waka wasn’t there last time I came, so that was something new.
The thing I found the most interesting was the mats all around the city- I don’t know how, but I've been to the city HEAPS and I have never noticed them.
This trip has helped me with my PBL because I was very impressed with all the cool secrets hidden behind our city, and now I think our school would look really cool with a Pou, stories hidden around our school about Ngai Tahu migration, or maybe even some of the mats from around the city.
Next time you go to Margaret Mahy, why don't YOU try to make a recount of it?
See you soon!
